St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Trap
#Craft #StPatricksDay
I can’t believe that it’s already March. With Easter coming so early this year, I almost forgot about our little Leprechaun friend! I made this with my Cricut and just wanted something fun for our counter. I figured that since these little guys will be running around in a couple of weeks, I would make up a trap to catch one. That way, they could promise to show me where the real gold was, and than I would let them free! 🙂
This is actually a little chair cut-out for the Cricut, but since I used a one-sided craft paper, it didn’t look that great sitting the other way, so I figured it was perfect to use as a trap for the little green guy!
I hope you like it!! Have a blessed day, and please be sure to comment on, and share this craft on your social media channels – thanks!
St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Trap
Materials/Tools Used:
- Craft Paper
- Hot Glue/Glue Dots/Tape
- Cricut
- Cricut Scoring Stylus
- Candy
- & Time!
Instructions:
I started by using the scoring stylus to create the box that I would use. It is actually a chair from the “Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2” cartridge. I figured I would just change it up a bit.
When the scoring was done, the Cricut started cutting and it ended up like this.
Once it was removed from the sheet, I started folding it up.
I added some double-sided adhesive tape to the edge, to finish folding the box.
When you have the edges secure, you can just fold up the bottom like a gift box to close it up.
Next, I used my Cricut to cut out some extra pieces to decorate the main one.
Again, using the tape, I attached them to the “box”.
Now you can just display it wherever you wish, and hope that you catch one of the little guys! We got “lucky” pretty quickly…he obviously thought the candy was his gold! 🙂
I hope you like it! Please take a minute to leave me a comment, and let me know what you would do different, or what you would add, etc. Be sure to tweet, pin, share, etc. – thank you!!
