I received a copy of the “Jesus Boat – Witness To Prophecy” DVD from Elliott at Edify Media, Inc.  I hadn’t heard of this movie before, but just by looking at the cover and seeing that it featured Skip Heitzig, Joel Rosenberg and more, I was definitely interested in it!

The story started out with Skip being the narrator and telling of the rebirth of Israel as a nation, and how a unlikely artifact was found under the Sea of Galilee.  It was amazing to hear all of the details of how this was discovered.  The area had endured a drought for a few years which made the Sea be a lot lower than usual, allowing some guys to see something that they felt was pretty important…and it was!

They, along with a large team, excavated the boat, which now is housed in a museum in Israel.  It helps tell the story of a nation coming back from nothing, as written about in the Bible.  I love hearing the accounts of the men who were on the expedition and the things that tried to stand in the way.  Always when we least expect it, God uses something as simple as a fishing vessel and the events surrounding it being discovered, to let us know that He is still here with us.

This is a great movie and I definitely recommend watching it as a family and being able to talk about what they found and what it tells of the story we read about in the Bible.

Witness To Prophecy
