Make Some ” Spring Bunny Suckers “
#Craft #Easter #Bunny
It’s amazing that we just finished up with St. Patrick’s Day, and Easter is already here. Now, if you know me, you know that my family celebrates the Resurrection, and not the bunny. This holiday in our world has turned into a candy fest and all about the little fluffy guy, even though it’s truly about how our amazing Lord died for us on the cross, and was resurrected on the third day to save us from our sins. That is, to me, what is most important about this time of year. My family does, however, still give gifts of candy and we used to do a basket for our son when he was younger (too old for that now, he says), but we do this just for the fun of it.
I decided to make this craft, that I had seen on Pinterest last year, since it looked like fun and a great gift for some special people in my life. I used my Cricut to cut out the ears from craft foam, which made it super easy, and then plugged in the good ol’ glue gun, and got to work! I sure hope that you like it, and that you, and your family have a blessed Easter celebration! Have a blessed day, and please be sure to comment on, and share this craft on your social media channels – thanks!Make Some Spring Bunny Suckers
Materials/Tools Used:
- Craft Foam
- Wooden Balls
- Craft Paint / Brush
- Drill / Bit
- Hot Glue / Glue Gun
- Cricut
- Cricut Pens
- Pom-Poms
- Googly Eyes
- Suckers
- & Time!
Instructions:
I started by using my husband’s drill to drill the hole that was in the wooden balls larger, and all of the way through. They were only halfway, like door knobs, so I had to finish the job! 🙂
Next, I used some craft paint, and a foam brush to paint the wooden balls white, for the bunny’s head. Completely cover the whole piece, and just let sit to dry for a few hours.
While I was waiting for the paint to dry, I started working on the other parts of the project. Using my Cricut, I started cutting the bunny ears. I made sure to have the pink one smaller than the white, so I could apply it to the top and make it look like an ear.
When those were finished, I just used my glue gun to attach them together to form the ears.
Now, using some foam hearts, I drew on some toes with my Cricut Pen to use as the feet for the bunny.
Using the glue gun again, I attached the sucker to the “feet” to be the bunny’s body.
Now that the paint was dry, I slid it over the top of the sucker.
Using some mini pom poms, I made the nose & cheeks and attached those with glue.
When that was done, I added the eyes and drew on a mouth.
Next, I glued on the ears to the top of the bunny head.
To give him a bit of help in hopping around, and eating his carrot, I attached some “arms” and a “tail”.
Now you can just hand them out to your friends and family to enjoy or just display them wherever you wish! 🙂 My family wants to send Resurrection blessings to you and your family and join us as we give thanks to God for His Son!
I hope you like it! Please take a minute to leave me a comment, and let me know what you would do different, or what you would add, etc. Be sure to tweet, pin, share, etc. – thank you!!
