I recently heard about the Holy Roar CD by Chris Tomlin from FlyByPromotions. Any time I hear of something new coming out from Chris, I’m wanting to go line up to buy it.  His music and lyrics are amazing, and he makes you feel that you are a part of the studio or concert while you’re listening.  It’s amazing to think of how many lives that he has touched and shown of God’s glory through that!

The new Holy Roar CD is coming out after the book authored by Chris Tomlin and Darren Whitehead came out, which shares a fresh perspective from the worship practices of the ancient world. It’s helps you to grow in your understanding of praise as Darren offers unique insights on the subject.  Being able to read the book and then listen to the CD makes you think of each song just a bit differently.

Like we are taught at church, worship is part of learning, and of growth.  Giving that time of worship to God, letting Him know that we are thankful, and need Him, is just as important as the words of the Bible.  Chris Tomlin does a great job, in coming out with songs that mean just that – worship to our heavenly Father!

I think every song was a great one…Resurrection Power is my favorite right now, but that might change when I listen to the CD again!  His music has a way of making every song a fave, and they are timeless.  I cannot wait to hear our worship team do some of them at church in the future!!
