I received the  When Calls the Heart – It Begins With the Heart DVD from Elliott with Edify Media, Inc.  I absolutely love all of the WCTH shows!  I so wish we still lived in a time of the small town, dirt roads and horse riding Constables!  The story of this one is just as good as the rest.  The amazing Abilgail, played by Lori Laughlin gets to help out some great kids that are dealing with something that no young one should have to deal with.  We also get to see Elizabeth, played by Erin Krakow try to be a “Mom” to Jack’s dog.  That is a crack-up!!  So many great people in wonderful roles!   If you haven’t seen any of my past blog posts on this great series, be sure to CLICK HERE and check it out. 

Every one of the “When Calls the Heart“ shows are so amazing.  My family looks forward to watching them every week on TV, and that includes my son and husband – that is truly saying something about how amazing these shows are.  This series is a great one and I’m always looking forward to what will come next.  Being able to have the DVD, lets me know that we will be able to watch it again in the future, and share it with friends and family!

When Calls The Heart – It Begins With The Heart

The first installment of the third season of When Calls the Heart – based on the novels by Janette Oke.  A holiday special in Hope Valley. This DVD was released March 8.

In the weeks leading up to Hope Valley’s New Year’s Eve celebration, the residents of Hope Valley see some unpredictable resolutions. First of all Abigail (played by Lori Loughlin) resolves to catch someone that has been stealing from her kitchen – in the process she finds herself caring for two orphans!

Elizabeth (Erin Krakow), realizing the Jack’s dog Rip has developed a tinge of jealousy, resolves to remedy the situation.

Rosemary is bent on winning a San Francisco Herald contest for essayists writing about “Real Frontier Families.” In the process she ends up posing as Lee’s wife for a reporter from the newspaper. All the while Bill Avery tries his best to persuade Jack (Daniel Lessing) that he shouldn’t be in jail for counterfeiting.

All the while two strangers consider spending a little more time in Hope Valley to stir up trouble for Pastor Frank and Jack.

Set in the Canadian Rockies, When Calls the Heart is a frontier Drama in the tradition of Love Comes Softly. This Hallmark Channel special has been praised by critics, fans and “Hearties” as fans of the show are known. If you’re a fan of Frontier Dramas like Love Comes Softly, Little House on the Prairie and Christy, you’ll love When Calls the Heart.
