Create Your Own Rose Candle Holders
#TBCCrafters Hop
I am still getting back to normal life following our vacation to CA. Wow, that was a long drive. We were able to visit the beautiful Moss Landing area, Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Winchester Mystery House, and our son got to have a great time at the beach – even though the water was FREEZING!! ha/ha Here are some pictures from our trip:
I didn’t have a lot of time this week, so I just wanted to share something pretty quick & simple to make. These are perfect for table decor or even outdoors for a picnic..
I hope you like it!! Have a blessed day, and please be sure to comment on and share this #TBCCrafters craft!!
“Rose Candle Holders“
Materials/Tools Used:
- Artificial Roses
- Glue Dots/Tabs
- Battery Operated Candles
- & Time!
Instructions:
Start by removing the roses from the stem.
When you have them off of the stem, you can begin removing the stuff that holds them together (I never knew how they made this stay together, interesting), and separating the petals.
Once you have the flowers are disassembled, pick one of the large pieces and add a glue dot (or hot glue) in the center. Add one of the other large pieces to this, making sure to offset the petals a bit to make it more full in how it looks. Color choices are up to you. I decided to go with (2) separate ones that went together well, but you can keep it all one, etc.
Continue doing this with as many of the petals as you wish.
Once you have them all together, use your fingers to kind of fluff that back up. Gluing them all and going through what they did, they seem to be a bit flat. You can curl them up and just try to make them look full.
Now you can just attach or sit in your battery-operated candles (I just saw after buying these, that they have them colored now, so you could always match them better that way, too).
Arrange them as you wish and ENJOY!
Please take a minute to leave me a comment and let me know what you would do different, or what you would add, etc. Be sure to tweet, pin, share, etc. – thanks!!
