PTOToday – Happy Healthy School Kids
I love being a part of PTOToday – you always find out great things that will benefit your school, and your kids. I recently was blessed to get the email that Mountain Christian School once again was picked for the “Happy Healthy School Kids” program of 2014. It always has some great stuff to be given out to the families at the school.
The “Happy Healthy School Kids” program is designed to help your group promote and enhance your school’s health and well-being efforts within your school community. The gift packs are a great way for you to encourage parents to make healthier choices at home — each pack includes a copy of Thrive (featuring health and wellness tips and high value coupons) and select samples that make it easier for parents to do just that.
We received 200 copies of Thrive, a publication for parents featuring health and wellness articles, tips and high value coupons. Along with the publication, we also received gift packs. They included some of the samples* below:
• Thrive Digest (included in all gift packs)
• Hyland’s 4 Kids Complete Cold ‘n Flu (Homeopathic — for kids 2+)
• Hyland’s DEFEND Severe Cold & Flu (Homeopathic — 6+ to adults)
All of the info in the Thrive magazine was awesome – you always learn something new to benefit your kids. Thrive is the annual health and wellness digest featuring articles, tips and ideas to help families live well in their day to day lives. The content in Thrive is developed by the same PTO Today team that brings you Jump In! magazine (part of the Back2School program) and PTO Today Magazine. Check out an article from last year’s issue of Thrive!
The “Happy Healthy School Kids” program is open to all K-8 parent groups in the United States, but you must be an officer in your school’s parent group to sign up. They only provide this service to a limited number of schools, therefore, registration does not guarantee inclusion, unless you are a PTO Today Plus member (learn more about becoming a PTO Today Plus member). They also reserve the right to choose which groups may take advantage of this program.
Registration for the 2014 program is now closed, but if you want to get in on our ALL-New program, sign up to be notified when registration opens! It’s a great thing to introduce to you school.
If you’d like to see what the package is like, sign up to win one here – I have (3) to give away. This could be what you use to show your school administration what this is all about and get them on board next year!!
