Last weekend was the Run to the Pines Classic Car Show here in the White Mountains of Arizona. Living here for almost 17 years now, it’s one of my favorite times of the year. We start out on Friday with a Cavalcade of Cars that cruises the main highways, all the way up to Hon-Dah Casino & Resort. Then on Saturday and Sunday, we enjoy the beautiful Pinetop Golf area with classic cars, great music and amazing people.

My husband and I have volunteered for many years, helping to park, take care of attendant questions and just make sure that everyone is having fun. Being able to see the booths that set up in the vendor area, is always a fun time. During the show, we’re usually so busy, we don’t have much time to go shopping. When I saw the few that I was used to, it was great to see them again. When I kept walking, I came upon the Turn Em Red booth. I had never heard of the brand before, and was really impressed that they were using the weekend to help give back to our community.

We have a lady who had been with the Run to the Pines Car Show since year number two, I believe and lost her husband and few years back. The Turn Em Red booth, was selling a special blend with his name on it and giving back to the local school where he had worked. What could be better than that? Well, their spices, for one!! Amazing flavors, great for grilling, soups or just even adding to fruit. They had spicy options, and some sissy ones for those like me, who can’t even handle a banana pepper…but whatever! I loved knowing that they were there to help our community, it really meant a lot.turn em

We ended up purchasing the Special Edition Hotrod Howie’s Spicy Citrus Cilantro spice blends to help give back, and couldn’t stop there. My husband couldn’t pick between the amazing flavors that they had available, so we got one of the sets, to be able to try everything. The blends are amazing, and can even make that boring pork chop taste amazing!

I cannot wait to use others in some stew this winter, and other grilled meats that we prepare. There flavors run the gamut and are perfect for almost anything. I even sprinkled some on cut up cantaloupe and it was amazing!! So many options!! Continuing reading for more information, and be sure to check them out. They take orders online and ship, and it is so worth it! Let them know that TigerStrypes sent you!

About Turn Em Red:

The Turn Em Red Story

Our seasonings started as a simple favor for our wedding guests. With many of our family and friends coming from all across the country we wanted to deliver something that could be used on all the many dishes that they love, with a little bit of southwestern flair. So we created our very first recipe “Slow Noon”, our all-purpose chili lime seasoning. The tremendous feedback we received and the continued requests for more blew us away! From there, we got inquiries and requests for more flavors, distinct and fun, that people could use on any multitude of food items.

We researched and scoured everywhere we could to find high quality, locally sourced spices and began blending and testing them on every dish we could think of. They took a while to dial in but to date we have created three more unique flavors “Island Sunrise”, “Volcanic Sunset”, and “Hazy Midnight”. These four unique and distinctive seasonings can be used in an untold variety of ways, some of which we have discovered on our own and others which are shared with us by our tremendous customers on our social media pages.

As wonderful as these flavors are there are plenty more to come. The research and development continues!

Welcome to Turn Em Red Seasonings.

Who We Are:

We are Anthony and Erin Williams, the newlyweds who weren’t busy enough as is and decided to start our own seasoning company alongside our current 9-5’s. Anthony works in the Aerospace industry and is the main creator of the seasoning blends here at Turn Em Red. Erin works in the Mortgage industry and comes up with all the creative stuff, such as names, color schemes, photography and social media content. She is also the primary taste tester of the seasonings during R&D as well as the creator of many of the different dishes you see on our “Turn Em Red Tuesday” content.

Both of us have long enjoyed cooking, grilling, and playing around in the kitchen. Now we get to share that love with you all in a small way that we hope will bring that little “extra” that propels your meals from “good” to “I can’t wait to have that again!”
