(#TBCCrafters)
I can’t believe we’re already getting into Summer – where has the time gone? Due to school letting out in May, the Summer season here in AZ starts a bit early. We rarely get the hot temps like they do in the valley, so that makes the mountains the best place to spend this time of year. The weather is wonderful, the monsoons are starting to come in, and there’s nothing like seeing the beautiful clouds before the storms. Here’s a picture that I took during monsoon season, last year:
I figured that at this time of year, most of us are planning picnics, and other outdoor fun, as well as the kids wanting to have the lemonade stands on the corner. I thought this would be a fun craft to make to just decorate the house, or the porch, and a way to let Summer know that it was welcome at our home. It was pretty easy to make, and I got almost everything at the Dollar Tree, so the price was right, too!
I hope you like it!! Have a blessed day, and please be sure to comment on, and share this #TBCCrafters craft on your social media channels – thanks!!
How To Make A Summer Decor Wreath
Materials/Tools Used:
- Grapevine Wreath
- Faux Lemons
- Faux Greenery
- Craft Wire
- Glue Gun
- & Time!
Instructions:
I started by removing some of the stems of Boxwood from a faux garland that I got on Amazon.
Then, using my glue gun, I attached the pieces in different areas of the wreath. I made sure to leave some openings, for where the lemons would be attached.
Now, I inserted some craft wire through the lemon. Making it more toward one side, to better hide it, once it was attached to the wreath.
I then inserted each part of the wire through different parts of the wreath that were somewhat close together.
Once both pieces were through, I twisted them together to secure the lemon, and then trimmed each of the ends off of the wire. Be sure to fold the wire back into the wreath to save from hurting yourself on the sharp ends.
Next, I used more of the craft wire to create a hanger. After twisting it together tightly, I wound it through the top of the wreath, and also used some hot glue to secure it even more.
Now, you can just hang it up anywhere you want to celebrate the Summer season. With all of it being artificial, it’s also perfect for out on the porch, or for your front door.
Hope you like it! Please take a minute to leave me a comment and let me know what you would do different, or what you would add, etc. Be sure to tweet, pin, share, etc. – thanks!!

Cute! I just love easy wreaths to keep changing things up throughout the year. Never thought to make one with lemons though. Very cheery. 🙂
Thanks Andrea – figured it would make it feel more like summer! 🙂
Oh wow this is so cute! And I love that it’s so easy to make!
Thank you!! I love how inexpensive it was to make! 🙂
Oh cute…making the wreath seems like it’s really easy. I make Christmas wreaths when I can, and I’ve always wanted to make a bunch of seasonal and holiday wreaths for all year round.
I just figure that they can be reused and I can put different things on them, you know? Easy to do! 🙂
This is so cool looking. The lemons look so real.
Yes! I agree, the lemons really do look like they are real.
