We all have “Something to Stand For” – Movie Review
#SomethingToStandForMIN #MomentumInfluencerNetwork

The movie starts out saying that it goes with the same story lines as Paul Harvey. I had never heard of him before, but the way the stories are told, it pulls you in, gets you interested, and makes you think you know the answers, or maybe not. I loved it! Listen to one of Paul’s great stories here.  Wow, it makes you think it was recorded today!

With a basis on that for this movie, and another great storyteller hosting it, I was all ears. I’ve watched Mike Rowe for gosh, I don’t even know how long. His witty words and great demeanor, he’s always one that I loved watching. Seeing that first email with a preview in my inbox, that was sent out by Momentum Influencers, I was like “Yes, yes!!! Sign me up!!!”

The movie was amazing!! Having the story told from one perspective, and then having it shift to another and amaze you on who it was about, was perfect!! If history class would have been taught this way, I might have actually listened. The stories that you heard, which were really nothing that I was ever taught in school, made me appreciate our Country even more. Those that stood for our rights today and really made a difference in hard times, are beyond understanding.

Our world is sadly still divided, and I really hope that this movie can help us remember why we have what we do today, and the rights that we are privileged to enjoy. Let us remember during this upcoming 4th of July holiday, all of those that fought for our rights to share our feelings, and even for some to have the wrong opinions. The brave men & women who withstood trials for our freedoms, went into places that young people today would never go near, made me even more proud to thank those I know that had served.

Seeing the monuments and learning more about what they are for was another bonus. My husband and our son were blessed a few years back, to go on a school field trip to Washington DC and some surrounding areas. Seeing my husband’s face, when he saw some of those destinations again in this movie, and hearing his input, really brought a whole other light to what they mean to so many. I really hope to one day see them myself, and give thanks to those in heaven who gave so much for us to have all that what we do.

A big thanks to Momentum Influencers, for letting me be a part of their team of reviewers. This Something to Stand For movie was definitely one that made me so proud to be a part of the #MomentumFam!! God bless our great Country… God bless the USA!

About the Movie – SOMETHING TO STAND FOR:

Join America’s favorite storyteller on an epic journey to the heart of Washington DC. Drawing from his blockbuster podcast “The Way I Heard It,” this cinematic tour de force will take viewers to the frontlines of the American Revolution, World War II, the Civil Rights movement, and more.

Part mystery, part history—each harrowing tale tells a story you’ve never heard, about the patriots who built our country. From the legendary rebels we call the “Founding Fathers” to unknown Marines of Iwo Jima – these are the Americans who risked everything to build the country we love and call home. The American heroes who gave us… something to stand for!

I’m always on the lookout for educational and inspiring movies to share with my kids, and “Something to Stand For” sounds ideal. Mike Rowe’s narration is always engaging, and I love the idea of learning about America’s heroes together as a family. We’ll be sure to watch this before the 4th of July!
