I recently heard about Softcard ™ from Influence Central and didn’t really know what it was.  I thought it might be a gift card or something like that, but after doing the research and finding out it’s a great way to have all of you cards on your phone and not have to worry about them being lost out of your wallet or purse, I was interested.  I had to do some research and see if it was safe, though – with all of the cyber-attacks in today’s world, having my credit card information with me on my phone kind of made me worried.  I went onto the Verizon site and found the info I was looking for:

◊Secure Element – Sensitive payment information is stored on a special chip in your phone called the Secure Element. The Secure Element is isolated from your phone s main hardware and operating system. It s designed to allow access only to authorized programs such as the Softcard app.
◊Protective ID – A unique transaction ID is sent with each payment transaction, making it more difficult to counterfeit your card.
◊Personal Privacy – We believe your privacy matters. What you buy is between you and the merchants you patronize.

That pretty much answered my questions.  I cannot wait to continue using this and not have to worry about remembering my card and not having to worry about someone else using my info.  I can now leave my card at home and still be able to make purchases safe & securely with Softcard ™!! I really hope in the future they will allow us to add more cards that aren’t available on the app, yet.
