#DIY #Craft #Fall #Autumn #Halloween

Seeing that the calendar already says October, keeps making me shake my head.  Where has the time gone?  I remember the older folks in my family saying…”just wait!  When you get older time goes faster, but days are longer!”  Wow, isn’t that the truth! The weather this summer was crazy.  Even here in the mountains of Arizona, it was getting unbearable.  I cannot imagine living in the valley, where it was 115+ for so long.  No thanks!!  Well, we’re finally getting the Fall scent in the air, the trees are changing colors and the nights are finally getting to the point where we look at our wood stove, and say “pretty soon!”

I haven’t had much time lately to think about decorating, or planning on Autumn things around the house.  I saw something like this on Pinterest and figured it would be fun to make.  Super simple, and can be done with some things that are most likely already sitting around your house.  My craft room is full of extra bits of fabric and leaves that I didn’t use with the artificial flowers.  If you’re a crafter, you understand how we will always use something one day, right?  Well, finally I could use up some of the extras that I had laying around.

I hope this craft idea will help you get ready for the Fall holidays, and give you an idea of how to decorate your home.  Be sure and share a photo on my FB page, with what you come up with.  I’d love to see it!  I sure hope that you like the tutorial, and pray that you have a blessed day!

Please be sure to comment, and share this craft on your social media channels – thanks so much!!

Materials/Tools Used:

  • Toilet Paper Rolls
  • Scrap Fabric
  • Pipe Cleaner(s)
  • Faux Leaves
  • Sticks/Branches
  • & Time!

Instructions for the Quick Pumpkin Decoration:

I started out, by getting all of the supplies in order.  I didn’t have the right color fabric in my junk pile, so I found some small remnants at Walmart for like $2.  Heading out in the backyard, I found some sticks (if you need any of those, come on over – this wind here in AZ is making our pine and oak trees mad).  The other stuff, I just had laying around.

Getting the fabric ready, I placed one roll of toilet paper in the center, and pressed the fabric over into the center, making sure to pull up the edges to not have flyaway pieces.

When that was done, I twisted some pipe cleaners around a few extra leaves I had laying around, to make the pumpkin stems.  You could change this up to be whatever you want and even do different colors.  It’s so easy and able to be changed up for your decor.

Now I just figured how long I needed the stick “stem” for the pumpkin to be, and broke off some of the pine branch that had laying around.  Once again, use whatever you’d like.  It’s super simple.

Now it’s time to decorate with your little pumpkin!  Super simple to make, can be easily remade every year and great for the kids to add their own spin on it, if you have little ones.

This is really cute and looks so easy! I never would have guessed that it was made from a roll of toilet paper.

This is so cute! My youngest son loves crafts, so we’ll have to try this one together! I foresee lots of pumpkins in our bathrooms!
