I saw some preview artwork for this upcoming movie and was super excited to again see Lucas Black in the photo. He is one that I’ve followed for a long time, and love his acting. Being a fan of the Fast & Furious series, he first earned my fandom in that movie, then as a golfer, and his last great movie Legacy Peak, which was amazing! Seeing this one with his name in it, I was excited to see it.

Birthright Outlaw started out and felt like an old House on the Prairie show. The vintage look, the western style. Seeing the intro, it really seemed similar to the Yellowstone style. Viewing the landscape, it looked like it was filmed in Arizona. That part of Arizona is a lot different than the elevated mountain area in the state, where I live. The view was still beautiful, though. Once I heard Lucas start talking, I bet he was thrilled to not have to disguise his voice. The story was great, and showed the value of family. Seeing his wife and daughter, and the love they had for each other, was a positive part of the movie. Finding out that there had been some secrets that were kept hidden by his wife, made it pretty interesting. I loved seeing a lady with such a action-packed role. Usually in this genre, she is always out washing laundry in a big bucket, or just making dinner and wiping her hands on her apron. Having her give him guidance on shooting skills, really made me respect the movie’s author even more. There’s nothing wrong with a beautiful woman, able to hold her own.

As the story continues, you get to meet some interesting new characters. One of them, I haven’t seen since the show LOST and I was thinking, how did he get off the island? Oops, wrong show! ha/ha Seeing her have to deal with family and friends that she had fled from, and the hard life that they wanted her to come back to, made you think. It reminded me a lot of the angel and devil standing on Tom’s shoulders. If you’re close to my age, you’ve seen that cartoon. 🙂 This world is so full of right and wrong, there are sometimes we have to pick a side. God’s side is always the best one to choose, in my opinion.

Birthright Outlaw was really a great movie. Beautiful scenery, great acting and life lessons. I would definitely recommend it. Keep them coming, Lucas Black – I can’t wait to see your next one. That is, if you ever have time between your fishing and family time that I love to see on IG. 🙂

After half-a-lifetime of running and living a lie, Martha must decide which family she’ll fight for—and what she truly believes.
