Check Out Phil Wickham’s New CD – Children of God
I recently heard about Phil Wickham’s new Children of God CD from FlyByPromotions. I was so excited that he was releasing a new CD, since we’ve been praying for him for some time with the surgery that he got to remove the polyp in his throat. There was a chance that he wouldn’t be able to sing again, and that tugged at many hearts. His worship is amazing and we didn’t want to lose the amazing sound of Phil.
Seeing this new CD had us giving praise and thanks to God that prayers were answered, and the beautiful music would continue.
Once again, Phil knocked it out of the park. The songs are amazing and the music is perfect. I absolutely love “The Secret Place” song that features Madison Cunningham. It sounds amazing and transports you to that secret place of knowing that God is with you wherever you go!
I would definitley recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys Phil’s amazing music, or just worship in general. I can definitely feel that many of these songs will be played by worship groups in many churches, and cannot wait to hopefully hear Phil play some live at a Harvest Crusade or another venue! Thank you #FlyBy for letting me know about this great CD!!

About the Children of God CD:
Phil Wickham’s highly anticipated new full length album Children Of God debuted on April 22, 2016. Marking his first LP in three years, Children Of God comes on the heels of the “This Is Amazing Grace” single, which was certified RIAA Gold and named BMI’s Christian Song of the Year. This powerful anthem was recently recognized as the most-sung worship song in the North American church by Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI). Children Of God is filled with songs sure to follow in those footsteps and become new worship favorites.
Laboring for a year to craft his newest release, Wickham shares of the deeply personal story and intention behind the record. “A year and a half ago I lost my voice and was forced to have surgery on my vocal chords with the risk of not being able to sing professionally again. During the difficulty of that season, God spoke the simple yet massive truth into my heart that He loves me. That He loves us. That we are first and foremost His children. That whatever may come our way we are His children. That whatever we may be faced with, we are His. Many of these songs were written out of this newfound sense of identity.”

About the Artist:
Phil is at his core a humble and sincere artist who writes songs and worships God using the medium of music. It is with that brush that he paints images of a loving and creative God across the canvases of listeners’ hearts and minds. His music shimmers with pop/rock sensibility, innovative melodies and a heart for worship, the very place where it all began. And that captivating voice expresses a wide spectrum of emotions on all of his albums.
Even though Phil grew up in a Christian home, there came a point early in his life when his faith needed to become his own…not his parents’. He wanted a real, personal friendship with Jesus. And that crucial realization, combined with moving to a new city, paved the way for Phil to pick up a guitar and start writing songs about his growing faith. “When I started leading worship when I was 12, the Lord just really started blessing it with the junior high group,” Phil says. “Kids were singing, and I found that I really loved doing it.” Phil soon began writing his own songs. “Then the Lord just brought different people in my life to show me what it means to lead worship. There were awesome lessons that I was going to use the rest of my life.” After a great response to his first independent disc, Give You My World, Phil says, “I knew this just had to be the Lord. I didn’t even know at the time that this was what I wanted to do with my life. I was open to anything.”
