I recently heard about the Ozeri INSTAVAC Nesting Food Storage Container Set from US Family Guide and really wanted to try it out. Lately, certain pieces of food storage just aren’t working for me. The lids either don’t seal very well, and they just aren’t keeping my food fresh as long as they say they will. I wanted to try out something new that said it could keep my food fresh longer, and actually see if it lived up to what it promised.

When I received the Ozeri INSTAVAC Nesting Food Storage Container Set, I was very impressed with how they had it packaged, and how it would be able to be stored.  All of the Ozeri INSTAVAC containers fit inside of each other easily, which I haven’t been able to find with the past brands that I’ve used that had the tab closures on the sides.  Those all just took too much room to store in the cupboards.  I washed the Ozeri INSTAVAC set, which was super easy and got them ready to go.

I had just bought some strawberries, and had been having issues with them not lasting very long in their containers that they were housed in.  I figured it would be a perfect time to test out the Ozeri Instavac set.

I put the strawberries in, pushed on the lid as advised (which was super simple), and all of the air came out.  I was worried that it would be hard to make the containers release the air that was inside, but it didn’t take much pressure at all, and the little cap made it easy to tell when the vacuum was accomplished.  It would even work with those that have arthritic hands and aren’t able to put much pressure on their fingers, etc.  It didn’t take much to get it set to where it needed to be.  One the air is out, you can just turn the dial to show the day that they were put in the container.  This way, you can have your fruit or veggies ready to go, and safe for much longer. I was very impressed with the whole set.  Perfect sizes, large and small and could be used for so many things.  The instructions that came with them were easy to understand and even taught how you can microwave stuff in them (with the vent open of course).  It also gave other ideas on what to use them for, warranty information and ways to contact the company with any questions, etc.  So many products today come with some weird paper supposedly telling you how to use them (which usually doesn’t help), as well as no company information.  Ozeri makes it easy to find out more, and makes me think it’s definitely a company that cares about its customers and having them feel free to contact with questions, etc.
