Make Some “Halloween Candy Jars“
I wanted something a bit different to decorate during the Halloween/Harvest season in our home. I thought about a great way to use the candy for home decor. Simple to do and the pieces can be found pretty inexpensive. The hardest part for me was finding candy that was a single color. One of the “joys” of living in a small town, is that we only have Walmart for our candy and they don’t do the special cases with separate colors. Even if you had one of the stores that does jelly beans in different colors, that would be easy to use. I had to head out to a few stores to finally find some that was all one color…which explains the yellow jack-o-lantern. 🙂 I know there are different shades of pumpkins, so I figured it would work. I wanted to do it a bit differently in regards to colors, etc.
I hope you like it!! Have a blessed day, and please be sure to comment on and share this #TBCCrafters craft!!
“Halloween Candy Jars” Craft
Materials/Tools Used:
- Glass Jars/Vases
- Single Colored Candy
- Cricut Explore
- Adhesive Vinyl or Sticker Paper
- & Time!
Start by pouring each color of candy in its separate jar. I know that you can do this after you add the stickers, but I wanted to see how the face would look with the candy inside and if I needed to use the white or black stickers prior to putting them on. However you decide to do it, I’m sure it will be fine! 🙂
Next, I used my Cricut to cut out some face shapes to use on the glass jars (any design is fine – just be sure to size it accordingly).
Just adhere the stickers to your piece wherever you wish, be sure to gently push over the whole piece to secure the stickers.
Now you have your pieces, and can use them where you wish to decorate for the Halloween/Harvest season. 🙂
Hope you like it! Please take a minute to leave me a comment and let me know what you would do different, or what you would add, etc. Be sure to tweet, pin, share, etc. – thanks!!
