Doesn’t this year seem to be going by fast? We just celebrated Mother’s Day and now Father’s Day is just around the corner. Sometimes, this holiday can be a bit hard for me. Unfortunately, I lost my Dad when I was only 17, and he was just 43. Seeing others get to enjoy the day with their Dad’s makes me wish that he would still be here. Thankfully, I know that he’s up in heaven waiting for us to be called home to sit by him again and go over the memories that we have.
I am grateful, that I have an amazing husband who has been a wonderful father to our son. That makes the day stay positive, in being able to celebrate him and all that he’s done to help raise our now 18 year old boy. We give praise to God for even making us parents, after doctors said it wouldn’t happen. We also give thanks for Him being there with us through the tough times, and the great ones. Being able to use this bible to continue growing, will be an amazing gift for my husband. Hopefully one that he can pass down in future years to other men in his life.

Being able to share these tips and relive memories is a positive thing to enjoy about life. It seems that the younger generation doesn’t sit on the steps with their grandparents much anymore. Those conversations are some that I hold very dear, and feel should still be happening. Be sure to hold your family close, for you don’t know when God is going to need them back. I’m praying that everyone has a blessed Father’s Day! Even if you don’t have a father figure in the picture, God is your eternal Father and will be with you no matter what! Lean on Him, and during those times in your life that you feel weak, just ask your Daddy to hold you up! <3
