(Book Review & Giveaway)

I received the All Things Bright and Beautiful book from FlyByPromotions and thought it looked adorable. I know that my son is too old for this book, but I always love getting them to review. I get to read a cute little story, see the amazing artwork that is usually included (definitely in this book) and then be able to bless someone else with a great read. I’ll probably give this one to a friend who is a teacher and have them use it for Sunday School.

I always remember hearing this story in church when I was younger, and then later in life when I was teaching the kids, or helping out.  It’s amazing that it’s been around so long and can still pertain to our world.  So many beautiful things on this earth, and we’re blessed to enjoy them all.  Living in the White Mountains of AZ, I see God’s majesty daily and thank Him often for his Bright and Beautiful creation!

I would definitely recommend this book to any family that loves reading stories together. It’s adorable! Thank you #FlyBy for letting me read a great story!

About the Author:

Cecil Frances Alexander was born in Ireland. She began writing poetry as a child and wrote nearly 400 hymns. She wrote All things Bright and Beautiful, one of her most popular, to help explain to children the opening words of the Apostles’ Creed, a Christian statement of belief. The wife of an archbishop, she was known to be a generous woman who cared for the poor and opened a school for the deaf with her sister.

About the Illustrator:

Katy was raised in Middlesbrough, England, and started her career as a small child drawing on freshly painted walls! Her parents quickly encouraged drawing with pencil and paper instead. The idea stuck, and after earning a degree in illustration, Katy is now a freelance illustrator. Katy works at a desk in a studio within Old London Library and likes to tap dance in her spare time.
