Saved by An Unlikely Angel (Movie Review)
I heard about this new “An Unlikely Angel” movie from the Momentum Influencer Network. Seeing previews on Pure Flix before it’s release on August 26th, and seeing that it was the same guy that played in Courageous, I was already interested in watching it, before I received the email from Jean. I loved this actor in that movie, so I knew that this one would be good, too. Plus, he was driving a classic Chevy, so what more could you ask for? 🙂
I watched this movie one evening, when I finally had a free moment and it was great. It really makes you think about what you put first in your life, and how things might need to change. I won’t spoil it for anyone, but when you’re watching, it kind of does a back track and changes completely, which in the end was perfect! At first, I was like “huh, what?” and then it’s like “oh, okay!”
The character who plays the main woman, really reminded me of myself, when I was having a baby. I’m still thankful to God that I did have a boy, because having a girl just would not have worked for me. I never played with dolls, NEVER liked pink, and just wasn’t one to deal with some of the drama that I ensued on my own Mom. Now, even with our son, there was still drama, but thankfully, it never lasted too long, and he just ended up going back to play in the dirt with cars! ha/ha It made me feel better, seeing in a movie someone that wasn’t perfect, and even admitted not really being sure they were ready to complete the Mom role. Maybe I wasn’t so crazy, after all!
The film has some great characters, and the moral of the story is definitely one to ponder. This world of fast pace, and who can climb up the ladder the highest is not always the best. Taking a moment to see what is most important in your life, and focus on those things, will make a huge difference in the end. Plus, let’s all try to be that Unlikely Angel in someone else’s life! Maybe that will convince my husband that we need to buy an old car!! 🙂
