I remember the days of watching Scotty McCreery on American Idol. His voice, no matter what your music genre of choice was, made you look. I loved that he was humble and just thankful of someone saying he was talented. Following his journey, and seeing him grow into a superstar pretty quickly was amazing.
Now we get to read about his story. Getting to hear how from a young age, Elvis made a big impression on him, lets you see how it all started. Being able to follow along even closer on his journey through this book makes it even more memorable.
In today’s world of “get rich quick” and “YouTube Sensations”, there aren’t many left who get famous from true talent. Scotty is one of those that has that gift in his soul to bring you good music. Plus, his strength to share his faith was something that made me want to vote for him, and hear about him even more. A young man in today’s world, strong enough to say that his talent came from God and not boast about how awesome he was, but give credit where credit was due, made me want to see him grow even more!
I’ll never forget that time watching him sing with the “I Am Second” bracelet on….that was kind of something like a sign to those who know what that ministry stands for, to know that Scotty was true to his word of giving credit to God.
This is a great book for anyone who loves the music, or just likes to read about the story of someone’s dream coming true. I would definitely recommend it and use it for a gift idea for those who are interested!! Thank you BookLook for letting me review this great writing!

A great book love it but the audio version is even better. A must for the mccreerians. The book has so much feeling and so much faith in it . It brought me to tears a lot seeing how strong his faith is. This is a must read!!!
