I recently got picked from HouseParty‘s website to be a part of the Rosatello Chatterbox. I hadn’t ever heard of this brand before, but I saw red wine, and I was in!! I checked out their different sites (links below) and found a lot of great information. I got some coupons with my package from HouseParty and headed to the store.
Living in the mountains, we sometimes have a hard time finding certain brands. I headed to our local Safeway and didn’t find anything, so I went to the Safeway in the next town, and they had it. I was able to purchase the Rosso and the Moscato, which I couldn’t wait to try.
I had some of the Rosso the other night and “WOW”, it was amazing. I’m not used to a red wine having a bit of fizz, but this one did and it tasted so good!! I had to go back and read the bottle, since it was a bit like a sparkling wine or spritzer. I said “Rosso – Red Wine”, so I guess I’ve just never been lucky enough to try one like this. The flavor was amazing, their was hint of different fruits, like raspberry and blueberry…I love it!!
They have some other types available, such as Moscato, Regular Rosé and a sparkling one. I can’t wait to try the rest!
Here’s one of the great recipes that they have on their site, that I can’t wait to make, as well:
- 1 bottle Rosatello Rosso Red Wine
- 2 plums sliced, plus extra slices for garnish
- 1/2 cup Cointreau
- 1/2 orange, cut into quartered wheels
- 1 Gala apple, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 1 bottle ginger beer or ginger ale
- Candied ginger for garnish
- Combine all ingredients (except the ginger beer, candied ginger and plum slices for garnish) into a pitcher or large container and store covered in refrigerator overnight. When ready to serve, pour the ginger beer into the pitcher. Then pour into rocks glasses and garnish with a fresh slice of plum and a piece of candied ginger. Makes one pitcher.
About the Company:
Rosatello Wines are rooted in Italian history and tradition since the 1950’s, Rosatello has been making fresh, fragrant wines in the sun-drenched Italian hills for over 60 years. Try their Rosso Red, Moscato, Rosé and Sparkling Rosé wines and discover how each bottle delivers the sweet, made-to-be-chilled flavor that is perfect for any occasion.
Today, Rosatello has evolved to suit contemporary American palates while still maintaining its original sophistication and allure.
To ensure the perfect balance of sweetness and bright acidity, the Italian grapes are cold fermented charmat style in pressurized stainless steel tanks to preserve the fresh-from-the-vineyard fruit flavors.  This also maintains the natural effervescence.
