How to Make “Harvest Candle Holders“
#TBCCrafters Hop
Here’s my craft for this week. I hope it’s something that you can use and change up the ideas to make it your own. My favorite time of the year is Fall. The colors are amazing in the mountains where I live, the temperature is just right and there’s just that “smell” in the air. Now I can have a great smell in my home with these “Harvest Candle Holders“. My post was also published on The Brand Connection’s website!
I hope you like it!! Have a blessed day, and please be sure to comment on and share this #TBCCrafters craft!!
How to Make “Harvest Candle Holders“
Materials/Tools Used:
- Glass Candle Holders
- Battery-Operated Tealights (for safety)
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Ribbon
- Glue Dots
- Scissors
- & Time!
Instructions:
Start by wrapping a rubber band around a small candle holder. Make sure that it’s snug. Once you have that on there, you can begin adding in the cinnamon sticks that should just be a bit taller than the candle holder. Be sure to have them around the holder tightly and without large gaps. You sometimes need to twist the sticks so that they fit into each other better.
Once you have the cinnamon completely around the candle holder, you can then trim some ribbon to hide the rubber band. Just have it overlay on itself about 1/2″ to secure. I just used some glue dots to adhere it.
When you have that done, you can insert a regular tealight or votive, if you wish, or a battery-operated one, like I used – just for safety purposes.
With that, you’re pretty much done. I wanted to add a bit more to my centerpiece, so I used a large glass container and wrapped a really pretty burlap ribbon around it – using glue dots to secure it….
…and using an artificial orange, I poked some holes in it with a sharp pencil and inserted clove buds. I do this with real slices of orange when I’m going to be putting in on the stove for an air freshener, but figured for this, I didn’t want to worry about it leaking or going bad – so why not use a fake one?
Now you have all of the things to make a table centerpiece or any other decor for the Fall season!
Hope you like it! Please take a minute to leave me a comment and let me know what you would do different, or what you would add, etc. Be sure to tweet, pin, share, etc. – thanks!!
