The tool I’m reviewing is the “InStyler Tulip Auto Curler“.  I didn’t really know how to use it, so I headed to their site and there was a lot of great information.  Once you figured out what to do, it was very easy to use.  My hair is colored, so I try not to use too many tools on it.  I let it air dry and usually never blow dry it, or curl it.  This one seemed to be a little better for my hair, since it wasn’t being clipped with the old school curling iron shaft.  You just had to put a lock of hair down the chamber, push the button, wait a few seconds and you were done.

It was very easy to use and even with my type of hair, that usually doesn’t keep curl for very long – this made a difference.  The curl happened quickly and stayed for a lot longer than normal.  There was no burnt hair smell, like I usually deal with using a regular curling iron.  It was also great to not have to worry about those “bent edges”.  Who knows what I mean?  That dumb part that you forget about in a regular curling iron that ends up looking like a messed up end!!!  Yeah, those “bent edges”!

This just takes your hair up in to the curl, beeps to tell you that it’s working, and when to release, then you’re set.  One word of advice, if you want all over curl – start the machine at the top of your hair and have it take the whole piece.  I also liked to just do the ends and have the curled bottom.  It was great and really simple to use.  It also didn’t take long to warm up, which was nice.  I could just plug this in while getting ready in the morning and have it to use for a couple of minutes for a full-on “do”!

All in all, I’m very impressed with this tool and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to make a difference with their look, but not make a dent in the wallet or have to focus on styling for hours.  Thanks Vocalpoint, for letting me be a part of this great InStyler campaign!!
