Review & Giveaway: “The Marriage You’ve Always Wanted” 11

Book Review & Giveaway – “The Marriage You’ve Always Wanted”

I got this book from the FlyBy Promotions Blogger Network asking if I’d like to read it and then let others know about it.  I said “Sure!”  I always love to read books that are biblically based and offer counsel in daily life.  This book, “The Marriage You’ve Always Wanted” by Dr. Gary Chapman gives many great pieces of advice, looks back on other couple’s trials and victories and helps you to make a difference in your life, as well as your marriage.

Like the book says, there are some that the partner won’t be reading the book with you, but if you decide to read it and apply what you learn just to your life, you’ll be very likely to see a change in your relationship by how you view things. This could make a big difference and help the other one to wonder…”hmmm…how’d they do that” and then maybe read it for themselves.

I praise God that I have a wonderful husband.  We’ve been married for 13 years and have known each other for over 20.  I didn’t know at first if this would be something that I would need, but after finishing the book, I learned a lot to be able to add to my marriage and hope that I can make my husband feel the love that I have for him.

Just like Matthew 7:5 says…”First take the log out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. “, this can pertain so much to marriages, as well as family or friendships.  So many times we wonder how we can change them or make them different in certain areas.  Why don’t we look within ourselves and see what we can do to make changes?  This will make such a difference in our personal lives, as well as our marriage.

I pray that you will get something from this book, like I did and be able to let others know about what they can read, or do, to help God be in control and help them to lead a blessed life in the Lord.

You can picture the perfect marriage in your mind, but re-creating it in reality does not come easy. Trusted counselor and relationship expert Dr. Gary Chapman reasons that the most sought-after ingredient in any marriage is true oneness. I am very confident in my marriage but work hard to preserve it as well. We always focus on our relationship .We feel when our relationship is strong, our parenting falls into place.
