8 Simple Tools For Raising Great Kids
“I love my child, but parenting is hard.”
#8SimpleTools #FlyBy
8 simple toolsI heard about the 8 Simple Tools for Raising Great Kids book from FlyByPromotions, and couldn’t wait to read it. I replied to the email, just to make sure that it was okay for me to be a part of this review, since my son is already 15, and we’re in a different stage of parenting. I was told absolutely, it would be fine.

Well, I can only say about one thing….WHERE WAS THIS BOOK 15 YEARS AGO????

I absolutely love the way it is written, and the information that is included. Easy to read, and great knowledge from someone who has been there, and wanted to share their knowledge of parenting. I love that it shares the importance of talking, listening, teaching and many more! So many think that being a parent, means being a boss. You are also their friend, their confidant, their caretaker and many other roles. This book shares different wisdom of how to make each of those beneficial to both of you.

I definitely recommend this to any new parent, parents of younger kids, or even parents of teens like me. It makes you look at your own situation and see if there are changes that you can make to have your home be a better place. Like I’ve wished for – for years, was an instructional booklet for kids when my son was born. This one is just what was needed. Plus, being focused on God and faith in the family, makes it even more of a treasured piece!

About The Author:

8 simple toolsDr. Todd is a child psychologist who has been working with children, teens, parents, and families for the last 18 years, most of that in a group practice in Wheaton, IL. On a personal note, he has been married for 24 years to his wife, Lora, and they have two young adult sons who are currently attending college. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. They then moved to Columbus, OH, where he completed a postdoctoral fellowship with Wright State University at the Children’s Hospital. Since then, he has done his clinical work at Summit Clinical Services in Wheaton, IL, where he continues to see children, teens, and families on a full-time basis. He has written five great faith-based parenting books. His latest book, which is soon to be released is an ebook titled: Raising Flexible Kids. He has presented many parenting workshops at mom’s conferences (Hearts at Home, MOPS International), MOPS groups, churches, and schools. He has also recently developed a skill-building game for kids called The Flexible Thinking Game. In his free time, he enjoys doing anything with his wife, spending time with his boys whenever possible, reading, running, and playing jazz piano any chance he gets. His Christian faith is an important part of his life and thinking, and he is continually thankful for God’s grace, of which he says he is an undeserving recipient.
