So you're dealing with what the author is, Katie? Wow - it seems to be a bit too common in today's world. I'll be praying for you!!

A beautiful review! It makes me reflect on how I"m living my life today - despite a cancer diagnosis and makes me wonder if what I am doing is what GOD wants me to be doing? Is it His will for my life? Is it His best for my life? Because everything can change in an instant and I don't want to have the regrets of not having spent enough time with my family or fill-in-the-blank. Congratulations on the opportunity to review such a beautiful book! #ibabloggers

In reply to <a href="https://www.tigerstrypes.com/the-hardest-peace/#comment-3608">Ana Lynn</a>.

It is definitely one that makes you think. The part I love the most is how the author Kara writes like she feels and not trying to make the reader feel for her, etc. I thank God for people like her and the difference that they can make in other's lives!

Thanks Phillip - it is sad that people have to go through this, but praise God knowing that when we are with Him, there will be no more sickness or death! I cannot wait for that day!

I think cancer has touched everyone's life in some way of another. My mother and MIL both passed of cancer and considering how painful it was, they both handled it really well till the very end. Sounds like this is a great book to read. #ibabloggers

Wow Jamie you write wonderfully and you gave a great description of the book.
I have known of people with cancer during these last few years and something that grabs me is that none of them are afraid to pass on but at the same time they are in no hurry too.

Recently me and my partner Louise sat down to watch a film called <i><strong>'The Fault in Our Stars'</strong></i> and is something that I highly recommend you watch as well as it deals with the subject of cancer in young adults. Being a 30 something gent I like to think that I am in control of emotions and that I can deal with anything but I am not ashamed to say that this film made me cry like a baby at the time.

As I have said before I have known people get cancer and luckly for me I have not, nore am I willing to get it. I find it tragic though when I see people get it that are so full of life and health that I think its totally unfair. I remember meeting and being hired to develop a website a few years ago by a 30 something girl named sophie who in the end battled and battled and within a year she had passed on.

She was an amazin person and I feel blessed to have known her for that short period! When I had met her she was in remission and was building her business which is why she hired me in the first place! Her story was a tragic one after telling me how she and her husband had been trying to start a family for years only to discover she could not. a few weeks after the launch of the business and website she showed up at my office in tears saying the cancer had come back and this time is terminal.

Like I say I think it's tragic to see people so full of life and moving forward get this illness and think it's totally unfair that it happens. Cancer is something we must fight and it's one of the charity's at home I always donate too. Thanks for sharing this buddy! Looking forward to your next one!
