Have Fun With Christmas Ornament Table Decor 5

dividerHave Fun With Christmas Ornament Table Decor

With Christmas just around the corner, we got the house all decorated just after Thanksgiving.  I love the Christmas season, and living in the mountains makes it feel even more festive.  Well, as we were going through the ornaments that we got out of the attic, I noticed that my Christmas Ornament Wreath (post here) that I made a few years back wasn’t doing so well.  I decided to upcycle it and make a new decoration for the home with what was in it.

I hope you like it!! Have a blessed day, and please be sure to comment on, and share this craft on your social media channels – thanks!

Materials/Tools Used:

  • Christmas Ornaments
  • Cookie Jar/Container
  • Garland
  • & Time!

Instructions:

I started by removing the ornaments from the metal wire that I had attached them to for the wreath.  As you can see there were ornaments missing and things broken, that’s why I figured it was upcycle time!

Next, I inserted them into the plastic container that I purchased at a discount store.

Once you have them in the container as you wish – with the colors separated, or alternating sizes, you can then put the lid on.  If it doesn’t fit, just remove some of the ornaments for extra space.  I have a few sitting around the house for extra decoration on shelves, etc.

I then used some extra holly garland I had sitting around and attached the ends with a wire to secure.  I just put it over the top of the jar as some added decor at the bottom.

Now you can just set it wherever you need some extra decor to celebrate this Christmas season!

I hope you like it!  Please take a minute to leave me a comment, and let me know what you would do different, or what you would add, etc.  Be sure to tweet, pin, share, etc. – thank you!!

I like that this is so colorful and simple enough to do to make a beautiful holiday decor! I used some of our old ornaments to put in a glass vase this year to upcycle them, as well. This adds a nice touch with the holly garland. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
